TRANQUILITY OF THE SOUL IN INTERPRETATION OF THE ROMAN CITIZENS

There was a notion of the complex of public virtues (Aequitas, Clementia, Fides, Libertas, Pietas, Virtus) in the Roman civil society. Those virtues served the purpose of moral assessment in politics. Simultaneously, some of public virtues were private ones as well. The article deals with peculiarities of the concept of Securitas as an ideal of serenity, calmness, tranquility of the soul.
